Ohajiki Sea Glass Wall Hooks take their inspiration from the Japanese children's game played with flat marbles. Vintage glass Ohajiki pieces that have fallen into the sea and are later found on the beach are known as Ohajiki sea glass. These knobs take the feel of textured Ohajiki sea glass and transform it into strikingly fascinating wall hooks (although please note this is not found sea glass).
Each hook is made from an approximately 1 1/2" to 1 3/4" piece of frosted textured "beach" glass. Each piece has been carefully patterned and kiln annealed, and has smooth, rounded edges. The glass is then permanently affixed to stainless steel hook hardware, and includes three screws and dry wall anchors to make installation a snap. The hook projects approximately 2 5/8" from the surface of the wall.
The shaft of the hook unscrews from the base (see photo). To install simply remove the shaft and the base cover, mark holes, attach base to wall and reassemble hook. To insure the glass is positioned properly you can attach the shaft to the base without the base cover to mark the holes on the wall prior to installing.
Various glass colors are available, please inquire. Price is per piece.
